Venus enters Capricorn on December 8, where it stays in the first two degrees until it retrogrades back into Sagittarius on December 29. It will remain retrograde in Sagittarius until January 29, and will continue its transit in Sagittarius until February 27, 2022. There is quite a lot going on with Venus for the next few months. It will be conjunct the Sun in January and be combust, then it will be conjunct Mars until the end of March 2022! There's a big emphasis on relationships, values and finances, as well as travel issues and restrictions.

Venus being retrograde and conjunct Pluto in Capricorn until the end of December causes a lot of power struggles, tension and subconscious issues to come to the forefront, which isn't easy for relationships. Financial issues may arise as well. Pluto deals with covert behavior and manipulation. So governmental manipulation may come to the surface as well, dealing with money (no surprise of course) and corona virus.

Once Venus retrogrades back into Sagittarius on December 29, it will be conjunct the sun and combust a few days later (I use a 10 degree orb for Venus combustion). The combustion will be between January 2 to January 15, this is when we need to be careful regarding relationships, finances and vehicles. This is not a good time to inniate new romantic relationships or to get married. Taurus and Libra ascendants and Moon should take care of their health, be careful while travelling and taking care of your vehicles and relationships will be important. This is not a good time for investments or big spending.

Sagittarius deals with belief systems, spirituality, gurus, teachers and travel. We will see more travel restrictions during this time or issues with travellers may arise. Sickness on plaines could take place globally.

Venus is the planet of love, relationships, finances, but also of our core values and the decicisons that we make based on our values. Venus retrograde implies a reevaluation and reconsideration of our values and past decisions made.

We may need to walk away from a toxic relationship. or boundaries may need to be put in place. Whatever the situation, Venus retrograde brings an internal focus concerning personal values and love. Take this time to reflect on what really matters to you at the end of the day. What are your values in love ans relationships? What are you able to compromise in a healthy way in relationships and fiances as well? What are you not willing to compromise? This is a time to step back, retink and reexamine.

Past lovers oftentimes come back during this time, it is a good idea to take things extremely slow, as things may not be as they seem. Or meeting a new romantic prospect may not prove to be the right time or fit. Taking our time is best. When Venus goes direct things will seem a lot clearer and you may find some answers that were missing about your partner or relationship. Some truth or secret may come out.

On a higher level, Venus is the planet of ultimate devotion, or bhakti yoga, this could in fact be a remedy for us during this time. Devoting some time and energy to the divine, to a higher power each day in a form or another, via mantras for example. Excercising love as much as possible and compassion as well. This Venus retrograde is a challenge for relationships, a call for not only personal values, but also respecting other peoples values and boundaries, considering the other individual in the relationship and having compassion once again.

Mars enters Sagittarius and joins Venus Retrograde on January 15, this will bring more contention in relationships and fiery passion. Mars is highly independant and wants things its way, while Venus is all about healthy compromise and working as a team. The challenge is to use this conjunction for optimism and look for higher wisdom like a good Sagittarius does. .
