Scorpio New Moon December 1

The new Moon occurs on December 1, in Scorpio at 15 degrees of Anuradha, rendering the month ahead full of transformative energy and opportunity for heart felt connections with others.

Anuradha is a beautiful Vedic star ruled by Mitra the deity of devotion, affection, & love. Mitra itself means love or bhakti. This is a great time to re-align ourselves with these beautiful qualities in our lives and interpersonal relationships. Take note of what your devotions/dedications are in life, do they align with your core values?

The symbol of Anuradha is the lotus flower which can blossom from life’s toughest battles. This demonstrates the profound metamorphosis found in Scorpio, or the death and rebirth process commonly attributed to this sign.

Mercury is Retrograde in Scorpio until December 15-16, giving us the opportunity to re-evaluate, re-think, re-view, and re-consider certain parts of our lives. Here Mercury gains the depth and probing qualities of Scorpio, which makes it a fantastic time for inner or shadow work, and research into the deeper things of life.

The 15 degrees of the new Moon aligns precisely with Antares, star of war & power, which will have adverse implications in the world, leading to new wars & conflicts.

On a personal level, however, it offers an opportunity to connect with our own inner power and courage.

Anuradha shows us who our true friends and alliances really are in life. Once Mercury turns direct in this Vedic portion of the sky, mid-December, we may get our answer.

Anuradha deals with romantic love and companionship, which increases the possibility for some of you meeting new potential love prospects. Just make sure such connections are genuine and have authentic love as its primary motive. Mitra means union-maker, or love-maker, it is an inclusive energy. It wants to unite with others, or merge with another.

The realm of Scorpio, or the 8th house, is not an easy journey. It's an area of life where we encounter unexpected life changes, secrets, traumas, and deeply buried subconscious fears. However, once we confront and conquer these challenges, we emerge unbreakable, rising like the eternal phoenix.
